Latest Government announcements

Dear Families of Montreal,

I know many of you will have seen, heard and read about the latest government announcements and the impact on schools. I know many of you will have questions about how this might work.

As yet there is only a suggested date of return for some pupils. While the site team have got the school ready for children and our staff are keen to see the children again we will also wait to follow both national and local guidance. We will make our decision with the health and well-being of all our children, families and staff at the forefront of decisions made.

Please give us time to review all the information so when we share our strategies, they will be clear for you all. For now, please remember we are there for you in any ways we can be.

  • Free School meal food packs will continue. If you are newly eligible or now require one please call the school phone numbers.
  • The school phone number is still available to you all.
  • The class teachers will continue their calls to you.
  • Staff will continue to support the hub at Orgill.

As the closure continues, we have ordered workbooks for you all to be able to access learning at home without the need for the internet or computers. Staff are also planning weekly themes so children in different year groups can be working on similar ideas at home. We will let you know how these will be distributed soon.

While the future may be uncertain be sure that the school will be there to support all in our community.

Stay safe and take care,

Lindsay Burnett
